L: learning
ive heard this particular phrase ever since i started to pay attention to my teachers in school: you can never stop learning. ever. which is somewhat overwhelming for a 2nd grader to hear when they have a list of multiplication tables to learn in a few months, a book report to finish, and knowing that there is a kickball against the fourth graders tomorrow.
now i realize that the this is a very vague topic, so i will just chitchat a bit on learning about oneself. myself.
i find it odd how it takes events for us to find new information about ourselves that we would have never known in the first place. i kind of wish that we could be given a list of what type of person we are at the beginning of our lives so that there aren’t any surprises. i dont want to find out that i am really a cold hearted uncaring type of person. or that i am an overly sensitive floormat. i kind of want life to hand us books about us so we can read it before hand and that way, we no longer have to face “trials and tribulations” to figure out who we are.
i have no problem with learning more about my major in school, learning new activities, etc.
however, i do have a problem with learning new unexpected facts about myself. i mean, it’s me. shouldn’t i already know who i am? i guess that is “the beauty” of life, to continually be able to learn new things about oneself over and over again. unfortunately, i am not a big fan of surprises especially those that involve myself.
i am definitely that type of person who likes to be in total control of her life….which is also why whenever i go on a trip or something, i like to know every exact specific detail. from the minute we leave to how many pairs of socks i should bring.
(i am a worry-er).
in other news:
i just ate a cup of yogurt a few minutes ago. bad choice. really bad choice.
i am also looking extremely forward to the rest of this school year, even all of my academic classes. im excited to take notes, write essays, look smart (HAH. that will take a pair of glasses).
i feel slightly bad today because i left one of my biology classes early today. the professor was going over a dreadfully long syllabus, the people around me were sleeping, and i was THIS close on falling asleep myself. so i packed up my notebook and left. which was unfortunate because the person i was sitting next to was pretty cute. not my type, but nonetheless beaming with rays of dreamyness.
i only hope that the professor doesnt memorize the back of my head so that he will be able to recognize me to lower my grade or anything like that…
this entry was not suppose to be this long.
i love free stuff like free henna.
