1) there are two places in your house that should always be clean: bathroom and kitchen.

of course your whole house should be clean in general, but the two places that must be sanitary are the bathroom and kitchen area. i mean think about it, the bathroom is where you do your business and stay clean, so it is kind of a given that it should be the cleanest. who wants to go to a dirty bathroom to take a shower??
and the kitchen is where you make food and store food. again, who wants to eat and prepare food in a dirty kitchen?

2) it is never too late to clean.

it can be 2am in the morning and what is my mom doing? vacuuming. then she does the dishes. then she cleans the kitchen floor. then she rearranges the furniture in the room.
no matter how tired or how late it is, you can always clean. i guess it can make you feel better to think that you wont have as much work the next day…

3) drink water in the morning, better if you add the juice of half a lemon.

it’s good to “clean” your insides before you start doing some major chow-dowing. it’s like cleaning a plate before you eat, the plate being your stomach and stuff.

4) you dont have to buy stuff for full price.

there is always a better deal, it’s up to you to find it. this kind of got in the way whenever i wanted something “new” instead of something that was always on the sales rack. but then again, im not a big fashion type of person and i guess it’s nice to save money. my mom always gloats to me whenever she found a pair of jeans for $10 at Gap. -_-

5) manage your time well. aka: get your butt off the couch and do someting.

there is always something productive one can do. instead of turning on your computer once you wake up, why dont you read a book. or take a walk. or make a list of what you need to do.

6) list whatever you need to buy before entering a store.

everytime my mom and i went shopping, whether it was for groceries, school supplies, clothes, anything, she would make a list. she knew that because of human nature, she would want to buy more than she needed to, so making a list kind of helped with the urges to purchase unnecessary items. i gotta admit, it is easier to stay within a certain budget if you list out the items that you realllllyy need.
